Fan Favorite: Haworthia

With its striking bright white stripes Haworthia is one of our favorite houseplants.
It makes a great focal point planted in glass with some decorative rocks and moss to accent it or choose from our wide selection of indoor pots.
Haworthia Plant Care:
- Haworthia are low maintenance succulent houseplants that don’t require frequent watering
- Place your plant in area that gets bright indirect light (like an east, west, or south facing window)
- Water your plant thoroughly so water drains out the bottom of the pot then wait to water again until the soil has dried out completely
- With Haworthia it is better to water them too little than too much
- Planting your Haworthia in a cactus or succulent mix will help ensure your plant has good drainage
- Fertilize in spring and late summer/early fall with a cactus fertilizer
- Haworthia prefer to be crowded so you don’t need to replant it into a larger container until it has thoroughly filled its old pot (roughly every 2-4 years)
- When you do replant increase the pot size 1-2″
- Water your Haworthia more infrequently after you have just repotted it because the extra soil will retain more moisture until the roots have had a chance to grow into the new space
